Johnnie died in 1933 at age 26. Her sister, Margie and her husband Ovie Havard, adopted Johnnie's daughter Wanda and changed her name from LaFour to Havard. Orville LaFour remarried and lived into his 80's. I'm not sure why he did not take Wanda after the death of Johnnie.

Wanda Estelle LaFour is listed in the Chambers County births for 1930. Overton Havard and Margie Locke are listed as parents. Ovie and Margie took in Wanda and raised her after Johnnie died. I'm not sure why they would be listed as her parents on the birth record. I thought maybe they adopted her at birth but she is living with Orville and Johnnie in the 1930 census.
