December 1, 1694 Richard bought for 1900 pounds tobacco, 70 acres south side James River, adjoining James Akin and Martin Elam.
In 1705, Richard was on Rent Roll of "All Lands Held of Maj'tie in Henrico County" with 70 acres.
Five of Richard's six sons were found in Henrico County Sheriff's Account book for people living south of the James River in 1736.Page 26
